who will mourn and who will cry

Who will live and who will die

Who will stop and pause a second

who will understand and learn this lesson

who will look on in ignorance

who will shrug in indifference

who will watch and who will intervene

who will find themselves caught between

What is the correct course, and what is best?

Before me stands a single gate

Paved with love that ends in hate

I can't tell which I hate more...

Myself, this world, or this lonesome door....

The answer lies in wait for me

A single act of defiant blasphemy

The world that once turned away

Won't have to worry about me after today...

I know the things I have done wrong

and what I've done right along

the path that leads to a better place

may from the world's surface erase

any sight or glimpse of me

or into perfect sunrise lead

me to a life not lived in spite

onto a path that's truly right

I know not now where I wander to

Or if my actions are all but true

I take the path of least resistance

I end this futile, useless existence
