Don Mann: Focusing on my Craft Wednesday, Sept. 01, 2004 - 9:43 p.m. I'm waiting for the sunshine to turn my midnight back to day I'm waiting for the clouds to part and stop this freezing rain In the end I'll find I could wait a lifetime Never can I have again what was once only mine The endless sky sweeps across my eyes Silver clouds can't brush the tears aside The only thing that keeps me from freeing my soul are all the souls I'll leave behind People see me and they smile because to them I'm in a passing phase Inside I am imprisoned The colors have all turned grey Take my hand and I will touch you I cannot guarantee that I will feel For as you grasp my living flesh I doubt if anything we've done is real There is no meaning in my life There is no fate or destiny I will take control of this sinking ship and plunge it deeper into the swollen sea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Living it up until there's no more life to live.
