Don Mann: Focusing on my Craft

Tuesday, Mar. 02, 2004 - 9:09 p.m.

Looking back on the road I've traveled, I have so many intense and wonderful memories which I could spend a week just reliving in my mind. A new idea is influencing me now; I feel that I should try to make every day memorable in some way, do something which I'll look back on with pride and pleasure.

If everyone did this, no one would ever feel down at all. If every day meant as much to you as some of my memories do, you'd never feel depressed.

Anyways, that's the end of my stupid little rant. Let's go over today's events.

I woke up around 9, and GK was down. Gabe was asleep in my basement, so I woke him up. We then proceeded to clean my hellhole of a basement, no small task, I assure you. Then, when I finally saw the light of day, I realized it was one of the nicest days of the year outside, the air crisp and cool, the sun beating down upon the snow which recoiled from the sidewalks-vanquished and crestfallen. I sat on my porch clutching my little shih-tsu watching the ice melt, then returned to my little hole to check up on Gabe. Lots more junk happened, and before I knew it we were on the road to pick up Jenni, a girl I'd never met but Gabe had told me about.

We had a big adventure then, which included a visit to our city's finest church, a massive stone monolith heralding indominable faith to all within view. After a short while we went to Rock Rimmon, a piece of jagged stone jutting out from the tallest point in Manchester which overlooked the entirety of our small city.

Then came a food trip that brought us to Little Caesars for a pizza, which we consumed under wrathful stares from patrons of a small laundromat which we selected to dine in.

Finally, we returned to my house where nothing happened.

Then, I returned Jenni to her rightful owners, and Gabe to his. Now I'm here, and there is nothing happening.

Rien.
