Don Mann: Focusing on my Craft Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 - 2:00 a.m. Memories don't die, but the people in them all do sometime or another. My grandfather is dead. He died tonight and just weeks before I planned on flying out to see him. Farewell to another kind heart. My one wish for now is that I could know exactly where they all are, those people I loved who are dead and gone. Some kind of reassurance that once life is over decomposition isn't our only fate. I'd also like to note that if I love you, you only have another 4 days to die and make this year even more miserable for me. Death's the worst kind of conclusion to a good life story. |
